Who Kicked Cock Robin?

.

Not I said the owl

Gazing down sleepy eyed

I’m not that kind of fowl

And we’re on the same side.

.

Not I said the bee

Buzzing back to his hive

Cock Robin kicked me

Then took a dive.

.

Not I said the grub

My excuse is complete

I was only a sub

And I’ve got no feet.

This was billed as a clash of two teams who were partisan and fierce rivals, but the action – apart from a few fire-crackers – was all on the field of play!

Very enjoyable weekend and thanks to John Main, who did all the driving – and The Victoria House Hotel which housed us for a second visit (and more to come, I hope)!
