We received a very warm welcome in the morning before the match and were left to our own devices in touring the ground – even the condemned far side!
Before the match we parked outside the main entrance! Unheard of in England!

We were treated right royally at The New Douglas Park. Complimentary tickets and a tour of the ground!
3G pitch with a temporary stand on the far side to bring it up to Scottish Premiership regulations of a six thousand seated capacity!
Of course, it is not really a football ground, but mainly a business and community facility with a football stadium attached, all administered by Hamilton Academical Holdings
The home team wore the French Football Team’s away kit in remembrance of the previous Friday’s tragic events in Paris

The visit of Aberdeen was televised live and the attendance was meagre for such a high profile fixture!
Very enjoyable weekend and thanks to John Main, who did all the driving – and The Victoria House Hotel which housed us for a second visit (and more to come, I hope)!
